The Gulabi Gang is a women-led vigilante group based in India. The group is dedicated to empowering women of all social classes and protecting them from domestic violence, sexual violence, and oppression. Notably, the group uses both non-violent (protests and demonstrations) and violent (threat, intimidation, use of weapons) tactics to combat oppressors.

"Hugs, Not Bullets" refers to a non-confrontational security policy whereby the state aims to tackle crime through addressing the root causes of crimes (e.g., providing rehabilitation services to drug users, offering social welfare to the poor) as opposed to reliance on police enforcement (e.g., frequent police checks, harsh sentences and punishments).

Art and Tabitha were married for 30 years. They had a healthy relationship up until Tabitha's demise last year due to old age. Currently, at age 50, Art is experiencing seizures together with positive visual and auditory hallucinations of Tabitha. These vivid hallucinations make Art very happy. The doctors discovered that the cause of this is a tumor within his brain. The doctors suggest to remove the tumor via surgery to eliminate the risk of another seizure at the expense of losing hallucinations.
